Newz Fast, New Delhi: Mahindra claims that its new electric SUV gives a range of 456 km (according to Indian Driving Cycle - MIDC) on a single charge. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in 8.6 seconds.

The carmaker has confirmed that bookings for the model will begin in the first week of January 2023, after which it will be launched by the end of the month. The new Mahindra electric SUV comes with a 39.5kWh battery pack, which is dust and waterproof.
It has an IP67 rating. Its motor can generate 110kW (148bhp) of power and 310Nm of torque. XUV400's battery pack uses state-of-the-art Li-ion cells.

Its top speed is 150 km per hour. Mahindra claims that its battery pack can be charged from 0 to 80% in 50 minutes with a 50kW DC fast charger.
It will take 6 hours 30 minutes to charge it from 0 to 100% from a 7.2kW/32A outlet, while it will take 13 hours from a standard 3.3kW/16A household socket.
The electric SUV will come with three driving modes- Fun, Fast and Fearless. It also offers a segment-first single pedal drive mode – Lively mode. Talking about features, the electric XUV400 will get an updated infotainment system with EV-specific data.
It will also get support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with voice command and SMS read out feature.
The SUV gets leather upholstery, auto dimming rear view mirror, front parking sensors, dual zone climate control, heated wing mirrors, powered sunroof, 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability with multiple airbags and hill hold assist.
