This scheme is very beneficial for the poor. Under this scheme, you get the facility of overdraft. The overdraft facility can be used by any account holder by talking to the bank manager. Let us tell you that overdraft facility is a type of loan only.
To avail the overdraft facility, interest has to be paid to the bank on a daily basis. Earlier, overdraft facility of Rs 5000 was available in PM Jan Dhan account. But now the bank has increased it to 10 thousand rupees.
Overdraft facility can be availed only in Jan Dhan account which is at least 6 months old. If the bank account is not 6 months old, then the overdraft facility can be available only up to Rs.
Account opening method
Under this scheme, bank account can be opened with the help of Aadhar card, PAN card, driving license and a passport size photograph. Under this, a child above the age of 10 years can open a bank account. The bank provides Rupay Debit Card at the time of opening the account.
At the same time, you also get an insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh on the ATM card. Along with this, the bank also provides you a life insurance cover of Rs 30,000. In this you can also open a zero balance account.
