UPSC i.e. Union Public Service Commission exam is considered one of the toughest exams in India. Despite this, every year lakhs of candidates prepare for it and give exams.

Eligibility to become IPS
1. To become an IPS, there should be at least a graduation degree.
2. Candidates who have graduated from any stream can give exam for this.
3. Graduation marks do not matter for this.
4. Even after getting 5% marks, any candidate can prepare to become IPS.
5. To become an IPS, it is necessary to give UPSC CSE ie UPSC Civil Services exam.
6. Graduate candidates from Nepal and Bhutan along with India can take the IPS exam.
Age Limit to become IPS
To become an IPS candidate, the age of any candidate should be 21-32 years. In this, 3 years relaxation is given to OBC and 5 years for SC/ST. Apart from this, any candidate can give this exam 6 times.
Apart from this, OBC 9 times and SC / ST category can continue to give the exam till the maximum age is not exceeded.
What is the exam pattern
UPSC Civil Services Exam is given to become an IPS. In which there are three stages. First there is a preliminary exam, followed by the main exam and finally an interview round. In the interview, a panel of experts answer questions from the candidates. By which the personality of the candidate is thoroughly checked.
How much will be the salary
The salary of an IPS office starts from around Rs 56,100. With the passage of time, the seniors reach the post, the salary increases.
