Newz Fast, New Delhi: After the death of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, a state mourning is being observed in India today.

An official statement by the central government said, "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland passed away on 8 September 2022.

In honor of the late Queen, the Government of India has decided to observe a day-long state mourning across the country on September 11," the statement said.
On the day of state mourning, at all buildings across the country where the national flag is flown regularly, the national flag will remain at half-mast and no official entertainment activities will be held on that day.
