Today we are going to tell you about the safest SUV in the country. Global NCAP has conducted crash tests of cars under the Safe 'Cars for India programme', which has revealed the safety of passengers in many made-in-India SUVs.

1. VW TAIGUN & SKODA KUSHAQ

The Indian made VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq are the safest made-in-India SUVs. This MQB is AO IN based.
Both the SUVs were recently crash tested by GNCAP. Taigun and Kushak have got a 5 star safety rating for both adults and children.

2. TATA PUNCH

Domestic automaker Tata Motors launched a small SUV- Punch in the country in 2021. It has been one of the best selling models in its segment. Tata Punch has been rated 5 stars for adults and 4 for children by Global NCAP.

3. MAHINDRA XUV300

Mahindra XUV300 is at number three in terms of top 5 safest SUVs in India. Global NCAP has given it a 5 star safety rating for adults and 4 star safety rating for children in the crash test.

4. MAHINDRA XUV700

Mahindra XUV700 mid-size SUV is one of the safest SUVs on sale in the market. It has got 5 stars and child protection has got 4 stars.

It got 16.03 out of 17 in adult protection and 41.66 out of 49 in child protection.

5. TATA NEXON

The Nexon has been given a 5 star safety rating by Global NCAP in crash tests, making it the first made-in-India SUV or car to be given a 5 star rating by Global NCAP. It has got 5 stars in adult protection and 3 stars in child protection test.
