Newz Fast, New Delhi: If you travel by flight then there is important news for you. Let us inform that in order to increase the demand and connectivity on domestic routes this festive season, Indigo Airlines on Thursday announced 8 new flights.
These flights will fly on Bhopal-Udaipur, Ahmedabad-Jammu, Ranchi-Bhubaneswar and Indore-Chandigarh routes. The company gave this information through a press release. Indigo Airlines said that out of these new flights, Bhopal-Udaipur flight will be RCS route and this will increase the reach between the states.
Sanjay Kumar, Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer, IndiGo Airline said, “The company is extremely excited to announce new flights on domestic routes across seven states with an aim to enhance connectivity and reach among domestic routes.
New flights will also fly from Arunachal Pradesh
Earlier on October 18, IndiGo airline also conducted a successful landing test at Hollongi Airport, also known as Donyi Polo Airport. The foundation stone of the greenfield airport was laid in 2019.
It will serve Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh and is located approximately 14 km south of the city centre. This airport has been designed keeping in mind the small aircraft, which can take 180 to 200 passengers.
“Critical works required for the operation of the airport have been completed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate this airport but the date has not been decided yet. We are hopeful that the start of flights from this airport will give a boost to the tourism sector.
Another official said that Indigo airline may operate flights from Itanagar to Guwahati and Kolkata and there is also a possibility of direct flights between Delhi and Itanagar in the coming months.
He said Indore-based regional airline Flybig is also expected to start flights between Itanagar and Guwahati once the airport becomes operational.
