Now under this scheme, LPG gas cylinder will be available at a concessional rate at the ration distribution shop. This scheme has been started by the government for the poor ration card holders.

5 kg gas cylinder will be available

Under this scheme, 5 kg gas cylinder will be provided to the ration card holders. The scheme to provide gas cylinders is set to start before Diwali.

To implement this plan, a meeting has also been held between the officials of the supply department and oil companies.

Let us tell you that the ration shopkeepers are continuously demanding from the government to increase the commission. They argue that in the midst of rising inflation, the commission being received at the previous rates is insufficient.

Approval to open public convenience center

But instead of increasing the commission, the government has started this system to increase the income of those running the government ration shop. Under this, approval has also been given to open public convenience centers at ration shops.

Income and residence certificate etc. can be made at the Jan Suvidha Kendra. Under the new scheme, there is a plan to sell 5 kg LPG cylinders at ration shops.

Cylinder price at ration shops

The shopkeepers will be given commission on behalf of the oil companies on the sale of cylinders. 5 kg LPG cylinder will be provided to Ujjwala gas connection holders at a concessional rate of Rs.339.

These prices may increase or decrease later on. Others will have to pay Rs 526 for this cylinder. The poor and small businessmen living in rural areas will not need to go to the agency or city for gas cylinders.

Ration shop owners can keep a maximum of 20 filled cylinders at the shop at a time. Apart from this, fire prevention measures will also have to be taken at the shop.

After the order of the Principal Secretary, the officers of the supply department and the oil companies held a meeting of the ration dealers and informed about the rules set by the government.
