PUC on Petrol Pump: Delhi government made a big announcement, now the PUC rule for petrol and diesel has been banned

Petrol Diesel Price

Newz Fast, New Delhi: The Delhi government had ordered the drivers to carry PUC along with the license. But now Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that the government has stayed the order to carry PUC with them to buy fuel.

This rule of keeping PUC with you was to be applicable from October 25, but now customers without PUC will get fuel.

Gopal Rai said, "The Diesel and Petrol Dealers Association has given some suggestions regarding law and order... These will be discussed with the Chief Minister and a decision will be taken after that."

The minister said that at present this order is not being implemented from October 25. The government had earlier asked vehicle owners to mandatorily carry a valid PUCC with them to buy fuel at petrol pumps from October 25.

According to the government's estimate, 28% of the PM 2.5 pollution in Delhi is contributed by the smoke coming from the vehicles.

That's why PUC is also important

Explain that the Pollution Under Control Certificate is an approval that the smoke coming out of your vehicle is as per the pollution norms. For this, a certificate is issued to you, which the traffic police can ask for at any time.

According to the government, more than 17 lakh vehicles in the national capital do not have valid PUCC. Under Section 190(2) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1993, vehicle owners who do not possess a valid PUCC can be fined Rs 10,000 or punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to six months, or with both.
