Maruti's new MPV will come with a hybrid powertrain and will be priced premium over the Ertiga and XL6. The new Maruti Suzuki MPV will be based on the TNGA-C architecture.

The country's largest carmaker Maruti will sell it through its Nexa series outlets. Apart from this, it will get a slightly different styling as compared to the Toyota Innova Hycross.

Talking about the interior, a little different treatment can be seen here as compared to Toyota. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki MPV is expected to come with 6-seater and 7-seater seating layouts.

Since the vehicle will use a monocoque architecture, the vehicle will get flat floorboards and more interior space.

Engine and launch time

The new hybrid avatar of the Toyota Innova and its Maruti Suzuki-badged version will be offered with two powertrain options. The first will be 2.0 liter petrol and the second 1.8 liter petrol engine.

The second engine will come with strong-hybrid technology. The launch of this premium Maruti Suzuki MPV is expected by next year. However, Toyota Innova Hycross can be launched in India by November this year.
