Newz Fast, New Delhi: The Government of India has imposed a fine of one thousand crore rupees on the search engine Google. Let us tell you that the company has taken advantage of its large position in the markets of the Android mobile device ecosystem.

Because of this, the Government of India has imposed a heavy fine on Google. Along with the fine, the commission has ordered Google to improve its conduct at the earliest. Let us know about the whole matter.

Why was such a huge fine imposed on Google?

For your information, let us tell you that many Android-based smartphone users had complained that Google was doing unfair business practices through Android and due to this, a detailed investigation was started on it in April, 2019.

The allegations pertained to two agreements, a Mobile Application Distribution Agreement (MADA) and an Anti Fragmentation Agreement (AFA), which were entered into by OEMs of Android OS and Google.

According to the press release, CCI has imposed a fine of Rs 1,337.76 crore on Google as they believe that Google has taken advantage of its position under which the entire Google mobile suite is pre-installed in phones and removed. Not possible either.

According to the commission, such practices of Google are promoting their search engine and all this is being done in wrong ways.
