Newz Fast, New Delhi: Due to the snowfall on the mountains, winter has started showing its effect in the plains. Chilly cold has started in the northern parts of the country. The mercury has dropped sharply in many cities. The cold has intensified in the capital Delhi-NCR and surrounding areas.

Fog has also knocked in the plains. There are also chances of rain in some states of the south. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be an effect of cold wave in some parts of Punjab, North Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh. People's problems can increase due to cold.

Trouble will increase due to cold wave

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the effect of cold wave will be seen in Punjab, North Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh. After December 25, tremors are going to increase in many districts including Begusarai, Chapra, Katihar of Bihar. There is fog in parts of East Uttar Pradesh. The minimum temperature in Lucknow is expected to be 10 degree Celsius while the maximum temperature is expected to be 23 degree Celsius.

Rain alert in these states

According to Skymet Weather, light rain is likely over South Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Light to moderate rains may occur over Tamil Nadu from 20 to 22 December. At the same time, warnings of heavy rain have been issued in some places. Light to moderate rains may also occur over Andhra Pradesh and rain over Kerala.

Dense fog here

Fog has knocked in the country's capital Delhi. Dense fog may occur in parts of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. People's problems have increased due to cold and fog in many parts including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Cold wave conditions are likely at one or two places over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, parts of Haryana and North Rajasthan.

Fatehpur coldest in Rajasthan

In Rajasthan too, the cold has started showing its attitude. Fatehpur of Sikar remained the coldest in the state. Where the minimum temperature was recorded at 2 degree Celsius. On the other hand, the minimum temperature was recorded at 3.1 degrees in Churu, 3.5 degrees in Karauli, 4.5 degrees in Sangaria (Hanumangarh), 5.4-5.4 degrees in Alwar and Pilani, 5.5 degrees in Sikar and 5.9 degrees Celsius in Nagaur.
