Newz Fast, New Delhi: After the central government, now the Haryana government has also given the gift of Diwali to the government employees. CM Manohar Lal Khattar has announced a 4 percent increase in dearness allowance of state government employees and pensioners.
Now it has been decided to increase dearness allowance from 34 percent to 38 percent. This decision will be valid from July 1, 2022. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary of the State Finance Department has issued a written order in this regard on Tuesday.
In Haryana, about 2.5 lakh employees are taking salary under the 7th Pay Commission, who will get the direct benefit of this decision of the Manohar Lal Khattar government. According to the information received, about 2 lakh 62 thousand pensioners will get the benefit of increase in dearness allowance.
The arrears of 3 months of the increased 4% dearness allowance will be deposited in the account. According to media reports, the employees will not get the arrear amount in cash.
Three months arrears will be deposited in PF. There are also five to seven thousand employees in Haryana who are getting salary as per the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission. At the same time, recently, a few days ago, the Haryana government had increased the minimum wage.
16 categories of workers will get the benefit of increase in rates in minimum wages. Let us inform that earlier in the month of September, the central government had increased the dearness allowance of government employees.
The Central Government had increased the DA of the employees by 4 percent. Explain that the state government increases the rate of DA every 6-6 months.
Increase in DA is due on 1st January and 1st July. However, even after this, the government increases it with a delay of three to four months.
