Let us know that in some areas of Delhi, paddy is cultivated and the stubble is burnt after harvesting. Due to this, the level of pollution in Delhi is increasing.

But the Delhi government has taken a decision that bio de-composer will be sprayed free of cost in the fields to digest the stubble.

Environment Minister Gopal Rai has held a joint meeting with senior officials of Development Department, Revenue Department and Indian Agricultural Research Institute (PUSA) on September 8 regarding the spraying of bio de-composer.

After which he said that all the Basmati and non-Basmati paddy fields in Delhi will be sprayed with bio de-composer free of charge by the government.

Forms will be filled soon from the farmers regarding this process and a training program will also be organized at the Delhi Secretariat.
Gopal Rai said that in some parts of Delhi paddy is cultivated, in which both Basmati and non-Basmati varieties are planted.

In order to prevent pollution from paddy straw in Delhi, last year too, free bio de-composer was sprayed by the government, which had a very positive result.

On the same lines, this year too, both Basmati and non-Basmati paddy fields will be sprayed by the government in Delhi.
