Now the account holders of the bank will not have to go round for the work of the bank. State Bank of India (SBI) has now started its WhatsApp Banking service.
This banking service present on WhatsApp will create much more ease for the users. Especially because users will not need to download a new app or visit an ATM to check their account balance.
Follow the steps for account statement:
To avail WhatsApp banking services, first you need to register your account with SBI. To register for these services, you need to send “SMS WAREG A/c No” to 917208933148 from your 10 digit mobile number registered with the bank.
Once your registration is complete, send 'Hi' to the number +919022690226. After doing so, you will receive a message saying "Dear Customer, Welcome to SBI WhatsApp Banking Services"!
Select any one of the following options
1. Account Balance
2. Mini Statement
3. De-register with WhatsApp Banking
You can also type your query on WhatsApp to start it. After that you can choose the option according to your need. After this type “1” to check your account balance while to get mini statement type “2”. Your account balance or mini statement will now be visible on WhatsApp.
