Newz Fast, New Delhi: According to the calendar of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), there are total 8 holidays in September. Apart from this, there will be 6 days off on Saturday and Sunday. According to this, banks will be closed for a total of 13 days in a whole month.
The month of August is about to end and September is about to begin. Banks are going to be closed for many days in September as well as in August. If you have any important work related to the bank in September, then start planning from today itself.
If you do not plan, you may have to face problems. According to the holiday calendar of Reserve Bank of India, make sure to check the holiday calendar for other holidays except Sundays in September.
Holidays will be according to different states
According to the calendar of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), there are a total of 8 holidays in September. Apart from this, there will be 6 days off on Saturday and Sunday. According to this, banks will be closed for a total of 13 days in a whole month.
However, these holidays may vary from state to state. At the beginning of the month, banks will remain closed in Panaji, Goa due to Ganesh Chaturthi (second day) on 1st September.

After this, on September 6, there will be a bank holiday in Jharkhand on the occasion of Karma Puja. Banks in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi will remain closed on September 7 and 8 on account of Onam.
On September 9, there will be a bank holiday in Gangtok, Sikkim due to Indrajata. According to the RBI calendar, banks in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi in Kerala will remain closed on September 10 on account of Sri Naravane Guru Jayanti.
There will also be a bank holiday in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi on 21st September. On this day there will be a bank holiday due to Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day.
On September 26, due to the establishment of Navratri, there will be a bank holiday in Jaipur and Imphal in Manipur. Apart from this, work related to banking will not be able to be done on 24th September being the fourth Saturday.
