Newz Fast, New Delhi: After releasing the 12th installment of PM Kisan Yojana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has now told the medium of more production at less cost.
The PM said that India is rapidly moving towards liquid nano urea for self-reliance in urea production.
The Prime Minister inaugurated the two-day PM Kisan Samman Sammelan at the Pusa Mela Ground of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute here. PM said this in his address after releasing the 12th installment in the account of farmers.
Transferred to more than 2 lakh crore accounts
PM Modi described the Kisan Samman Nidhi as an example of benefits to small farmers by the use of modern technology.
He said that after the launch of this scheme, more than Rs 2 lakh crore has been transferred to the bank accounts of farmers.
On this occasion, he also appealed to the farmers to create new systems in farming and adopt scientific methods and technology with an open mind.
High yielding medium at low cost
He said, 'India is rapidly moving towards liquid nano-urea for self-sufficiency in urea production. Nano urea is the medium of high yield at low cost.
Those who need a sack of urea, that job is now done with a small bottle of nano urea. This is the wonder of science and technology.
The Prime Minister said that the things that India spends the most on imports today include edible oil, fertilizers and crude oil and lakhs of crores of rupees have to be given to other countries every year to buy them.
New systems have to be created in farming
On the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, he said, 'If there is any problem abroad, it has a bad effect on us too.'
Addressing the farmers, the Prime Minister said that they have to create new systems in agriculture and adopt more scientific methods and technology with an open mind.
He said, 'With this thinking, we have emphasized on increasing scientific methods and maximum use of technology in the agriculture sector.'
Inaugurated 'Agri Startup Conclave'
PM Modi had released Rs 21,000 crore as the 11th installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, in the month of May on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of the government.
On this occasion, Modi also inaugurated the 'Agri Startup Conclave'.
Apart from this, he also inaugurated 600 PM-Kisan Samridhi Kendras (PM-KSKs) under the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers and also launched an important scheme named 'One Nation-One Fertilizer' for farmers under the brand name 'Bharat' Urea.
The Prime Minister said that this scheme will provide cheap and quality fertilizers to the farmers. He said, 'One Nation One Fertilizer is going to free the farmer from all kinds of confusion and better manure is also going to be available.
Now the same name and same brand and same quality urea will be sold in the country and this brand is India.
Referring to PM-Kisan Samridhi Kendras, Modi said that these will be such centers where not only fertilizers but seeds and equipment will also be available and soil testing can also be done. All types of information will also be made available to the farmers.
