She has also accused the film industry and a group of media of mentally torturing her and said that people only focus on her body and glamor, while her acting is not talked about.

In a conversation with the media portal, the actress mentioned about the change in the character written for her in the last 20 years. He said, "Earlier the actress was very good, she was innocent like Sati-Savitri or she was like characterless vamps.
Only two types of characters were written for him. The change that is being seen now makes women like human beings. She can be happy or sad. She can make mistakes, falter, and you still love her.
The actress compared her character in 'Murder' to Deepika Padukone's role in 'Gahreiyaan' and said that actresses have more faith in their bodies. This kind of stir was created when I did 'Murder'.
Then people talked about different types of kisses and bikinis. What Deepika Padukone did in 'Gehraiyaan', I did it 15 years ago, but then people were very small-minded.
He further said, "I must tell you that a section of the industry and media was torturing me mentally. These people only talked about my body and glamor and not about my acting.
I worked in 'Dasavataram', 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects' and 'Welcome', but no one talked about my acting.
On the work front, Mallika will be seen in 'RK', which will also feature Rajat Kapoor. He has written and directed the film as well. The film also stars Kubra Sait, Ranvir Shorey and Manu Rishi Chadha in the lead roles.
The comedy-drama will release on July 22 and will clash with Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor starrer 'Shamshera'.
