Wanting to get started, three Delhi-based friends Himanshu Chawla, Sherry Sehgal and Suman Patra opened a bakery called Bakings in 2016.
But now Bakingo, the company that sells this online bakery product, has set the flag of success. Bakingo had a total turnover of Rs 75 crore in FY 2021.22.

At present, this company of bakery products is providing services in its different branches in 11 cities. Apart from this, recently the company has also opened its first outlet in Delhi.

Himanshu Chawla, Sherry Sehgal and Suman Patra, who run Bakingo, studied together at Netaji University in Delhi. After finishing his studies, he also did a private job.

But later the trio quit their jobs and started their first venture, Flower Ora, in 2010. Its job was to supply flowers, cakes and personalized gifts online.

According to a report by NDTV Profit, Sherry Sehgal said that on Valentine's Day 2010, Flower Ora received a lot of orders. He and Himanshu placed 50 per cent orders in Delhi and NCR that day.

Because they only had one employee. It was only after this that he started thinking of doing something different with Flower Ora regarding bakery delivery. According to Chawla, there is only one chance to make a first impression among people.

Management looking at Bakingo's website says that about 30 percent of Bakingo's total sales are through its website. At the same time, 70 percent of the sales are done through food portals like Swiggy and Zomato.

The turnover of the company in the financial year 2021.22 was Rs 75 crores. The company has 500 employees and this year the company has opened its first offline outlet in Delhi.
